The U15/1s faced a season of transition in 2023, having had a turnover of 7 players since last year, and in what this year is a very tough and even Division 1. Despite that, we qualified for Finals with 4 games to spare, and remain on track to secure a 3rd consecutive Premiership; with 3 games left we have a 5 point lead at the top of the table, with 9 wins from 11 games, our position nailed down with an outstanding team performance in the 5-0 demolition of the team in joint 2nd place in Round 11.
Despite all the player changes, the boys are just as focused as ever on finishing in first place. Our superb goalkeepers, strong defence, dynamic and creative midfield, and sharp-shooting strikers mean it’s a whole team effort, as it has to be in Division 1. We now look forward to seeing the job through in the final 3 games, before moving on to Finals. I’ve always said how fortunate I am to coach such an amazing team, and that’s never been more the case than this year – a really great group of boys who look out for each other, always give 100%, and are passionate about football.
