Codes of Conduct

Our Club and Association Codes of Conduct can be found below.

Club Codes of Conduct

Winning at any sport, once in a competitive age group, is a part of our sporting tradition but the “spirit of the game” is more important.

This good sporting spirit is an integral part of Roselea FC and must be demonstrated at all times by our players, team and club officials, parents of our junior players and all of our supporters and spectators.

It is particularly important that this is demonstrated and modelled to our youngest players who learn from observing and following the role modelling of parents, coaches, managers and senior players.

At Roselea FC the following Codes of Conduct, are expected, and will be enforced.

Players

"Your opponents are just like you, there to have fun and to develop their skills. Play fierce but friendly!"   "A tough opponent is a gift! They will force you to play at your highest level and beyond."  "Show concern. Be a good Samaritan. If a player is down, help them up when play stops."

Coaches

As coaches, you determine the kind of experience our athletes have with sports. We want you to be the coach who teaches our athletes how to play the game, striving to win while pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports."

Managers

"Be a role model yourself at games. Don?t criticise match officials decisions, applaud good play by both teams."

Parents & Supporters

"Avoid conflicts with parents of the other team. Both sets of parents want their team to win. Share the joy of watching children play. Be courteous. The other team is not the enemy. Without them, there would be no game."

RESPECT Program

GHFA and NWSWF are promoting a respect program through all Clubs.  We are proud to say that Roselea is taking a leading role in this campaign. We have been involved in the development of the program which will continue to roll out over the next few years.

We have made a commitment to encourage positive behaviour by showing respect to all participants in our beautiful game whether it is as a player, coach, referee or spectator. Our new jerseys have a respect logo on the left arm. This has been done to show our commitment to the program.

The aim of the program is to promote respect of:

• The match officials, without whom the game would be much less enjoyable

• The opposition, without whom there would be no game

• The rules, which keep the game fair and safe.

• Yourself, set yourself standards and stick to them no matter what the opposition does.
