U10/4 Match Report - 26 May 2018

Updated: Jun 5, 2018

Another heart breaking loss for the boys on the weekend, with the game on offer until the last 10 minutes. To the boys credit, their manager commented to me that our game was the closest 50 minutes they've played so far.

Our right flank was on fire in the first half, with Jake and Orlando running amok with some great passes across the face of goal a number of times, we were unlucky one of them did not go in. Irvin had some good chances up front, there were a number of opportunities and near misses. There were also some good clearances from Blake, fantastic passing into space and flow from Levi, and amazing reflex saves from Alex Lee in goals; finding himself in the right position, keeping still at important times and staying firm.

For the most part, the game was flowing back and forth. The boys tired around the 50 minute mark, and the first goal was followed by another 3 in quick succession. The goals were all quality, with their forwards working well to pass our defence.

The positive is that the boys are competitive in every game, they have confidence, we just need to keep our structure and play for the full 60 minutes. Each game they are improving, onwards and upwards.
