An amazing success in yesterday's Active Parramatta Council Football Clinic day! The initiative held by Great Star Football Academy and Roselea FC saw four football skills training sessions targeting dribbling, balancing, passing and shooting. Each session ran for 15 minutes with each group rotating to the next session. A very popular session called "cross the rivers” was loved by all. They also had the ‘wanderful' experience in the Wanderers Dribbling Zone. After the training runs, the kids moved on to trial matches which they absolutely loved and enjoyed.
At the end of a successful day, each child received a Roselea FC Badge, 'Wanderers' sticker and a personalised certificate from Active Parramatta council. The day had a big turn out of kids, who for some had experienced not only the first time to kick the ball around, but made special bonds with other children and encouraged them to get out there and have some fun in football. A special thank you to Active Parramatta Council, Wanderers, Alix Roberts (Western Sydney Wanderers W-League Striker) and Great Star Football Academy!
