AAL2 Match Report - 3 June 2018

Roselea rocked up to Meadowbank late Sunday afternoon after playing a tough State Cup match earlier that morning. With tired legs and excited hearts the girls took to the field with determination.

A competitive start to the match had Roselea smiling when Gab perfectly set up a cracking goal for Gloria who neatly put away the ball in the top left corner, leaving coach Nick beside himself with excitement as Macquarie Uni had only conceived 1 goal all season! With strong passing and runs across the field from our mids, it wasn't long until Gloria struck and hit the net again in a one on one with the keeper, bringing the score to 2-0.

Coming up to the end of the first half Macquarie fought back and snuck in 2 messy goals, equalising the score. Onlookers held their breath in anticipation as early into the second half Hayley scored a penalty, allowing Roselea to breathe a little easier. However, an impressive goal off a corner and a successful cross saw Macquarie score 2 more goals.

Despite their best efforts, Roselea were down 4-3 at the end of the match and our girls were looking forward to putting up their feet.
