AA2 Ladies Match Report - 20 May 2018

Updated: May 25, 2018

Despite the glaring sun and unexpected warm temperatures, Roselea AA2 played a cracker of a game on Sunday achieving a 4-2 win against Picton Rangers that saw them proceed into the next round of State Cup.

Whilst it was a competitive game and the teams seemed evenly matched, it was Roselea's direct passes to feet and runs down the side line that enabled them to reach glory. With early goals from Gab and Maddie and numerous impressive saves from Dom, we ran with confidence and ended the first half ahead of the opposition at 2-1.

Although Picton slid in one more, Roselea held their heads high in the second half and fought back with gusto. With the help of some fancy footwork from Fiona and Gill in our mids and strong leadership from Hayley in defence, Gab put two more past the keeper completing a hat trick.

Roselea were ahead at the sounding of the final whistle with a 4-2 win under their belts.
