13/1 Match Report – 3 June 2018

Sharks on top of the ladder having conceded only 3 goals all season. The Roselea girls were ready and confident.

A good shot from outside the box brought about a keeping fumble and gave Roselea a half time lead. In an open half Roselea were getting good results from wing play, and moving the ball across the defence and midfield.

The second half saw Sharks bolster their defence with some extra speed to blunt the attacking wingers of Roselea. From six yards out Caitlin rattled the cross bar, plus their keeper saved a very firmly struck penalty.

In the end Roselea posted a convincing 3- 2 win having created half a dozen clear chances to score.

We can improve some of our clearing from our own goal box, and recognising when to play out from the back and when to just be safe, but the belief of the girls and the ability to play their possession game against strong opponents is growing.

Well done girls.
