The Gold Coast Champions Cup is an initiative of the Mudgeeraba Soccer Club.

 

The tournament commenced in 1996 with goal of offering the youth of Mudgeeraba an opportunity to advance their football skills while simultaneously developing cultural understanding, respect and friendship through sport.

 

The tournament embodies the spirit of the Mudgeeraba Soccer Club motto:

FUN,FAMILY AND SOCCER FINESSE.

The belief of the tournament founders was that the Gold Coast, with it's internationally acclaimed pristine beaches and tourist attractions and its perfect September weather, provided the ideal location to conduct a high quality International Youth Football Tournament.

The extraordinary commitment of Mudgeeraba Soccer Club members over time has seen the Gold Coast Champions Cup grow to be the largest International Tournament of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

The tour experience is something that strengthens teams and forms friendships across age groups within our club.  It builds club spirit and provides an opportunity for personal growth of our juniors as players and people.  It creates memories that will be held for a life time.

Roselea Touring Teams will be formed around participating players ages and abilities rather than traditional winter teams.  We have found this provides for a more successful Tour experience for on field performance but also encourages the players to get to know kids outside their normal winter team and creates greater club spirit.  We can also borrow guest players from outside the club, as long as they play in a FNSW affiliated association. From a tour administration and team viability point of view we have found this is the best formula to get teams on the park

The age ranges are Girls U15's to U16's

The Tour Package includes:

  • Competition entry fees covered by the club

  • Most Meals (apart from in transit)

  • Tour Jacket​/Hoodie

  • Roselea Cap

  • Transport

  • Opponent gifts (stickers & standards)

Additional spending money required for:

  • excursions and activities

  • sundries and snacks

  • souvenirs

Tour Package cost estimate for planning purposes is $1400

This may be reduced if fundraising, grants and sponsorship can be sourced.  We are also actively negotiating for improved deals on airfares and accommodation.
